I’ve been baking cakes for as long as I can remember, right from a young age by watching and helping my mother bake to doing the same with my 3 children for our enjoyment and the inevitable bake sales that follow you through family life. It’s always been a true source of joy in my life.

The immense disappointment I felt when I received my 1st daughter’s christening and 1st birthday cakes was when everything changed and I where the seeds of my passion were sown. I vowed to learn how to decorate my delicious cakes. Many hours of reading books, learning and practice followed, and the successful decoration of my second daughter’s 1st birthday.

The birth of K Kakes ensued, named in recognition of my children’s names, all beginning with “K”. At that point there were only 2 little “K’s” but I knew there’d be a third and sure enough, it came to pass.
